Stir-Fry Shrimp with Broccoli

Broccoli is a plant in the cabbage family, whose large flower head is used as a vegetable. Broccoli is also an excellent source of indole-3-carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells. A high intake of broccoli has been found to reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. Broccoli consumption has also been shown to be beneficial in the prevention of heart disease.
 here's the recipe...

2 tablespoon cooking oil
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 medium onion (sliced)
1 carrot (sliced thinly)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoon patis (fish sauce)
1/3 cup water
1/4 kilo shrimps
2 heads of broccoli (florets)
salt & pepper


saute garlic, onion & shrimps then add patis
pour in the water & simmer for a few minutes
add the cornstarch & mix well
add the carrots & the broccoli
season with salt & pepper with your desired taste

it's done! enjoy this healthy dish with hot rice! ^_^
